The Pink Lizard is well- known for its great atmosphere and friendly staff. Located in an industrial area, the Pink Lizard might elude you, as it sits back from the road with its entrance on the side of the building, facing the mini-market next door.
Inside, the Lizard is a huge venue with plenty of dance floor and seating, two pool tables and video games. Weekend dancing to DJ house and dance music makes this a popular place for Harrisburg’s entire community. Occasional special events and live performances work well in this spacious club.

I went in and told her I want to be mistaken for a woman. She had a little laugh and went to work. I had asked for layers and to keep the length. Well, she tried. When she saw she had problems, she called another girl who helped her. My hair did not look good at all when I left and I was quite upset. The next morning the wave set in and my hair looked good! I made it a point to stop in to see Wendy and show her. She looked at me and asked who fixed it! I told her this was all her work! Wendy was so relieved, as she was as upset as I was! That night I went to the meeting and recieved many compliments on my hair! The bottom line, they are quite friendly and very concerned. I plan to go back the next time.And, yes, I will ask for Wendy!

Description: Lydia is very accepting of our communtiy. Her shop is VERY discreet. The two of you are usually the only people there. I have been going for marathon sessions due to my work schedule and she is more than willing to do this.
Unfortunately, laser did not work for me ( it was wonderful for a number of our members ) so I am going this route. It will take longer but the sessions are a fraction of what the laser costs and it is working, slowly, but steady.

Description: They are very accepting! One of the older ladies greets me with a big 'Hello Leslie'! This is a 'nick name' from work. It is a great source for t shirts, tops, pants, etc. Not so great for dresses. They have a pay what you want policy. The last time I was there I bought a few nice tops. I could not find the jeans I wanted. The sizes are taged on the clothes so routing through 'the piles' is a bit easier than it looks. I also bought a nice wallet. The only down side is the only 'fitting room' is the bath room and only the ladies has a mirror. A VERY SMALL mirror!! We are welcome to use it though! They get new stuff all the time, so check back frequently.

Description: I found some great buy outs. Watch the quality, though. The main reason I am listing this is if you shop in 'boy mode', the dressing rooms are next to each other. I was 'in between' and let the ladies decide if I should go to the right (mens) or left (ladies). I quess because I was wearing a man's jacket I was directed to the right. I had a few raised eye brows, but no problems! In fact, when I walked out, the lady asked if everything was all right. I was quite excited as I dropped 2 sizes and I told her. She was as 'excited' as I was and I felt like one of the girls!
